Good to know

  • Charges are usually per person and per time block, and most places require at least one drink each (the one-drink rule).
  • At the front desk you may be asked which system you want: DAM or JOYSOUND. Both have plenty of English songs.
  • "Free time" plans let you sing as long as you like within a set window, and weekday daytimes are often cheaper.
  • Most places don't allow outside food or drinks; Manekineko is a well-known exception at many stores.
  • Late at night, there are limits on customers under 18.
  • Singing alone (hitokara) is completely normal.
