- Eiichiro Oda's home prefecture, Kumamoto, has Straw Hat statues at 10 spots, starting with Luffy in front of the Kumamoto Prefectural Government building. - In April 2026 the TV anime began the "Elbaf" arc, set in the land of giants. It now adapts one manga chapter per episode, taking things slower and in more detail.
