Hibiya Park

Japan's first Western-style park, between Ginza and the Imperial Palace

Opened in 1903 as Japan's first modern Western-style park, right between Ginza, Yurakucho and the Imperial Palace moats. Shinji-ike pond keeps stones from the old Edo Castle walls, and the lawns host free events through the year, from a gardening show to art and Christmas markets. Part of the park is being renovated, so some areas are closed.
